Intensive Treatment for Eating Disorders

Eating disorders present unique treatment challenges. Many clients are concerned that they may need inpatient treatment. Clients may find that standard once per week therapy is not sufficient to meet their needs.  While, in certain cases inpatient or medical treatment is appropriate, there may be alternatives to hospitalization. I have addressed what I feel is a gap in the strict inpatient or outpatient model of treatment by offering “intensive outpatient treatment.” This approach involves multiple appointments per week, potentially including appointments with family and significant others involved as appropriate, and phone and e-mail consultation on non-therapy days. There is a monthly fee, and insurance may reimburse a portion of the cost. Please contact me if you would like more details.
